Our new member is a little red hen named “Kakoo”.
The children love touching her and ask all sorts of questions about her. Each day one of the children is given the task of feeding Kakoo and collecting her egg. Many of the children have never seen a live chicken. They all love Kakoo !!

METROPOLITAN GOLF CLUB LADIES FLORAL CUP
Metropolitan Golf Club once again chose Pikkewyntjies/Penguin Kidz Pre-School as the Preferred beneficary. We are very privileged to be chosen year after year. An auction & raffle was organized and the funds raised donated to our school. The ladies, also, donated items for our charity shop. The annual event is sponsored by Prins & Prins Diamonds. Thank you all, your contribution goes a long way to sustain our Dream.
THE IMPORTANCE OF “EARLY CHILD EDUCATION
Adna, was one of the first pupils at our school (2007 – 2010) Thereafter, he excelled at Primary School & this year was identified by “Curro Private School in Hermanus” and has been given a full scholarship for 2019. If he continues to achieve good results the scholarship will be extended for the remainder of his high school years. This is ‘PROOF’ of the importance of EARLY CHILD EDUCATION. Well Done, Anda, we all very proud of you.
ADVENTURES FOR LOVE
Adventures for Love is a team of high-powered ladies who visit different community NGO's in the country and help them with projects on their bucket list.
They contacted us and offered to help with snake-proofing our playground. The next step was to pin it down with large rocks. The Adventurers did the job for us on 14th.
While half the team was on the job outside, the other half was giving the kids a whale of a time on the stoep outside the classrooms. They helped the boys and girls make their own bats to play balloon tennis, iced marie biscuits - to wolf down, chose how they wanted their faces painted and loved talking to these nice ladies. Then it was lunchtime and there were hotdogs for everyone with plenty of sausages and fruit juices.
Before they left they offloaded donations of food for the feeding scheme and items to sell in the second hand shop which is just the sort of kind and thoughtful gesture Adventures for Love would make knowing it represents a huge help to us.
